| Brewers tame Tigers |
| Colin Hoyle's first half header was enough to earn the Brewers the points from their local derby clash with Worksop Town, in a game marred by another woefully poor display of refereeing. |

| Albion crash out of Cup |
| The
Brewers failed in their attempt to make it into the FA Cup First
Round proper for the fourth successive year, after being deservedly
beaten 2-0 by Ryman Leaguers Gravesend & Northfleet. Two goals in quick
succession from Che Stadhart and Steve McKimm proved enough to take
the Kent side through to a trip to Huddersfield Town. |

| Des makes his debut |
| Albion
made their exit from the UniBond League cup after going down 1-0 at
Matlock Town, but the game will be better remembered for former England
international Des Walker making his Brewers debut. |

| Stanley clash boils over |
| The
Brewers emerged triumphant from an ill-tempered clash with Accrington Stanley
at Eton Park. Christian Moore gave the Brewers a half time lead, but Stanley pulled one back midway through the second half. Alan Bailey headed Albion back in front, before the game threatened to boil over, with Stanley player boss John Coleman hauling an injured Dale Anderson off the pitch, and a brawl involving most of the players, before Anderson wrapped up the points in injury time. |

| Brewers stay top |
| Darren Stride's 66th minute strike at Hyde United on Monday night kept the Brewers in pole position in the UniBond Premier Division, and with second placed Lancaster being held on Tuesday, Albion are two points clear at the top. Albion trailed at Ewen Field to an early goal from Tigers' star striker Simon Yeo, but that lead lasted only two minutes, Neil Glasser levelling for the Brewers. |

| Progress in Cup |
| Albion
made it through to the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, and
a home tie against Ryman League high-flyers Gravesend & Northfleet, with
a narrow 2-1 win over Berkhamsted Town on Saturday. First half goals from Christian Moore and Darren Stride gave Albion a comfortable half time cushion, but they were made to sweat after Marvin Morgan pulled a late goal back for the visitors. Matt Duke was the Brewers hero, keeping them in the game by blocking a penalty and making a dramatic late double save to deny the Ryman Leaguers a replay. |

| Unbeaten run ends |
| The Brewers' unbeaten run came to an end at the Giant Axe, as they went down by the single goal to Lancaster City on Friday night. The result sees Lancaster draw level on points with the Albion at the top of the table, with the Brewers just holding on to top spot by virtue of goal difference. |

| Brewers through at second attempt |
| A brace from Aaron Webster and one apiece for Darren Stride and Darren Wassall saw the Brewers safely through to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, after being forced to go to a replay against NCEL side Arnold Town. Alboin go through to face last season's FA Vase finalists Berkhamsted Town in the next round on 13th October. |
