Mostly harmless.

Stuff to do:

Culture lovers might like to visit the famous Salisbury Cathedral, and hear the enchanting Cathedral choir. Nearer to the ground are Roman Ruins at Old Sarum. And fans of piles of old rocks, druids and new-age travellers everywhere will need no introduction to Stonehenge, 10 miles North of the city, on Salisbury plain.

Famous people?

Former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath is reported to be a resident

Directions:

Follow the M40 to Junction 9 (A34/A41). Follow the A34, bypassing Oxford and Abingdon until you reach the roundabout that signposts the A303. Follow the A303 by-passing Andover until you come to a junction with the A345 (Amesbury/Salisbury). Take this road for about six miles until you come to a junction signposted Old Sarum.

You will know you are at the junction because there will be a single house standing on its own at the turning. (If you reach the Old Castle pub (on left) or Victoria Park (Salisbury’s old ground) on the right then you’ve gone too far). Turn left towards Old Sarum, go along this road until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit (left) and then the next left into Partridge Way. This will take you into a housing estate. At the end of this road is Salisbury’s new stadium.
